54. Jaden Fauske
OF / C

Ht: 6'2" | Wt: 205 | B-T: L-R

School: Nazareth Academy HS, La Grange Park, Ill. Drafted/Committed: LSU

BA Grade: 55/Extreme

Fauske is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound lefthanded hitter with strong hitting and power ingredients and a lengthy track record of performance on the travel circuit. He entered his senior season at Nazareth Academy as one of the top prep catchers in the 2025 class, though he did not spend much time behind the plate and teams think he might prefer to focus on hitting. While moving off the position could hurt Fauske’s profile with some teams, he was always viewed as a risk to stick at catcher, and his offensive upside warrants excitement even as an outfielder or first baseman. He has a smooth, rhythmic lefthanded swing with good balance, impressive plate coverage and a high contact rate. Fauske understands the strike zone and should take more than his fair share of walks, with the physicality to grow into plus raw power. He looks the part of a middle-of-the-lineup bat who could provide solid average, on-base skills and 23-27 home runs per season. Previously a below-average runner, scouts have been impressed with how he’s moved during the spring, to the point where some teams might give him a shot to play center field at the next level. He’s athletic enough to be a solid defender in a corner if that doesn’t pan out, with average arm strength. Fauske is committed to LSU.

Scouting Grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 55 | Run: 50 | Field: 50 | Arm: 50.

HS kid with average speed and profiles at best as a solid corner OF doesn’t get me too excited. Doesn’t leave a ton of wiggle on how good he needs to be with the bat.

It’s the 44th pick in the MLB draft. What are you looking for at this point?

I'm with you. Hard to argue about a left handed hitting OF with a patient approach and some notable thump with solid tools across the board. I take this all day at 44.

You clearly aren’t familiar with the Sox having amazing production from second rounders!
