Someone has expectations for Josh Rojas trade market?

Robert is getting traded guys.  I don’t want to try to police what people can post about here, but debating the merits of extending Robert is an exercise in futility.  Jerry doesn’t want to pay him, t

  • Remember the two O’s fans that come to Soxtalk to do prospect clutching and being cheap over the Cease deal?

Put the fucking draft back to June. It's stupid we are waiting like 24 hours for markets to develop.

Every team should also be playing a day game tomorrow for maximum chaos.

I said this yesterday but Summer Meetings! Like 3-4 days leading up to the Trade Deadline where GMs can meet and talk trades.

Padres/Preller looking to acquire A's closer and turn him into a starter?

or bluffing as he deals Suarez/Cease?

But according to The Athletic report, “indications” are that Preller “is willing to at least discuss” such names as shortstop Leo De Vries (the third-ranked prospect in all of baseball per MLB Pipeline) and catcher Ethan Salas (the club’s No. 2 prospect and No. 20 overall).

To add to the intrigue, the Padres might consider converting Miller back into a starting pitcher (the right-hander made six starts for the A’s back in 2023). San Diego does have a history of converting relievers into starters, doing so recently with Michael King, Stephen Kolek and Seth Lugo...along with Nick Martinez.

Perhaps he can talk about the Sox going for it in 2016 and his stellar trade for James Shields?

I’m surprised Civale isn’t rumored to be dealt

Guessing no one wants him.

I am surprised the Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Cubs and Red Sox have all been fairly quiet

He did say during this broadcast that he's been in a situation in which he told ownership there was only about a 10% chance of contending in his estimation, thus he recommended selling, but ownership demanded going for it

This checks out, honestly before the 2016 tear down I can't really remember a time where the Sox weren't "going for it" so to speak.

2016 and then 2024 are really the only tear downs I can even recall in my lifetime as a fan

Very surprised Dodgers haven't made a move with their underperformance and injuries

Still room for it to get wilder. The Astros medical staff has the chance to do the funniest thing ever now...

Anyone know if Kwan is indeed on the block? I haven't seen any stars being traded or rumored to be this deadline (apart from the bullpen).

He's available, but the price is reportedly very high.

Dodgers should go all in on him. It's their biggest hole. Terrible LF play, and need a top of the lineup bat with Betts reaaaaaaling

Trading only Austin Slater would be a fail
