Better than sitting. I prefer moving guys around based on the pitcher handedness over not even playing

Let's give a hand for the Cubbies MVP Reese McGuire....his are otherwise engaged.

And this…is why they let Houser pitch the 7th. Less arms

Better the less arms give up runs than your top or 2nd best trade piece when it's 11-0

Maybe they asked him if he wanted to stay in and Houser said yes any any good soldier does. But an on the ball manager says great job and says take a seat after 6. No runs given up, fluky type injury on the field avoided and great for the trade value after the slight hiccup his last outing had a lot people saying he's not getting the Sox anything of value back. And people listing valuable trade pieces and putting him way down the list or not even on it . So yes finishing on a very high note was important and Venable should know better.

His value before the game: not bringing back much

His value after the game; not bring back much

One inning doesn’t change anything. It’s like anyone thinking Civale’s value changed last start after facing a bad Pirates team: teams know who he is and a great game against a bad Pirates didn’t change that.

Don’t ever question the great Nostradamus.

He’s/She’s truly amazing. Always right. Why even have a convo with him/her.

There is zero chance a team’s offer got worse after this outing. And it would have not gotten better if he didn’t give up that homer.

Funny how people who were wrong try to cover their assses.

He had his first bad game not bad really just not up to the under 2 ERA standards and all of a sudden you have people talking s%*# about his value quoting articles saying he's worthless. And that all happened after 4 mediocre innings. There wasn't a whole out there saying bad things about him before that.

So I feel I'm justified to want him to be valuable in a trade, as all Sox fans should, just as others felt they were justified in devaluing him .

There's a lot of quickness to devour our young here or minimize the good things happening . I was the bad guy for sticking up for Montgomery too when idiots here were taking shots at him. Just being a positive voice doesn't mean I should be a target especially when I'm not jumping on the bandwagon of hate for the organization or our prospects. Excuse me for wanting what's best for the Sox.

I put Nostradamus on ignore but unfortunately I have to keep reading his/her ridiculous posts when people quote him/her.  Dude/she-dude has never been wrong in his/her life, and he/she will tell everyone that along with all of his/her prognostications that came to fruition in 500 word posts.  Dude’s/she-dude’s posts are a snooze-fest.  He/she is always right about his/her predictions so I hope he/she plays the stock market more than predicting meaningless s%*# about a bad baseball team, when he’s/she’s not whining about the admins/mods here.  🤣

At best, Houser brings back a prospect outside of the top 100, but that’s probably being too optimistic.  I was annoyed that he gave up the 3-run shot in a blowout, but in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn’t matter much.  Stats do matter but Houser is a 32-year old starter who has never been this good.  He’s basically Fedde from last year but way cheaper, which should boost his value a bit.  But other teams aren’t stupid and know that this is likely just a hot streak for him.

I mean, not even fun “bad” right now. They are just fun.
