Ewww.

I forgot about Perez though. I have no interest in seeing any of the others.

That’s great.  You said the goal was to eat innings.  It’s not about who YOU want to see.  It will be another losing season regardless.

Sorry. Didn't realize i wasnt allowed to express my opinion on WHO I wanted to see.

We are talking all about retread pitchers here. If they aren't getting anything worth it back I want to see the current pitcher continue to pitch the innings.

True but at least its some quality.

So Getz should keep Houser to both eat innings for the younger pitchers and provide more quality starts in another losing season, if he doesn’t get offered what he wants for Houser?  Okay…

Houser himself is a freaking retread pitcher on a hot streak.  That’s why you sell him high!  It was the exact reason they signed him and acquired Civale for Vaughn.  To trade them if they upped their value, which they both did.  Houser moreso than Civale.

Getz’s purpose is to improve the team in the long run, not keep impending free agents with value around to eat innings and provide you with a nicer game viewing experience.

I find it hard to believe Houser doesn't go.

If he doesn’t go, Getz should probably be fired.  Unlike with Robert and even Tauchman, there is zero reason to hold onto Houser and he should be worth at least a 40 FV pitching prospect.  That being said, I think he gets moved.

If the offer is just a DSL flyer or the equivalent, yes. Depends on the offer. Why would he trade him for something that's not worth it? He does have intrinsic value for the team.

I would trade all of them if they could get something of value. I just dont know what the offers were to make that decision.

I would sell high. If its was anything worth it. Seems teams think Civale has more value than Houser by reports.

Houser HAS to get dealt.  No excuses.  This is a 100 loss team coming off of a 121 loss season.  It literally does not matter who fills innings the rest of the season.  Find the next Houser and move on.

That's the key. He should be worth. Bit what are the offers?

You think the league is colluding to not value Sox players and only send Getz s%*# offers?

You can't always excuse a trade or non-trade with the idea that you didn't know the other offers out there. If that's the case, why even come comment here at all?

You sell them for the best offer regardless.  Something is better than nothing and the Sox already have guys that can eat innings.  They will both be free agents after this season.  If Getz wants either guy back, he can offer them a contract in the offseason.
