I’m OK with him remaining with us through his contract, it’s nice to have a couple of vets like him and Tauchman to help all the kids.

The Sox would trade him in a second if they could.  No team wants him due to his contract.

Beni sucks. He's so awful in LF that his 105 OPS+ or whatever is replacement level. I like playing him at DH honestly, if they insist on playing him. Keep his fucking glove out of there.

@Chicago White Sox had a great idea.  With Beni being so bad on defense and his contract being a sunk cost, along with Sosa being bad in the infield, why not convert Sosa to LF?

I guess the problem with Benintendi as a full-time DH is that you can’t get both Teel and Quero in the lineup as well.

Benintendi is a roster problem.

Seriously.  Put Lenyn is LF and see if he responds.  It rebalances the IF for sure and allows you to keep Sosa's bat in the lineup.  If he fails, do something different.

Benintendi is a roster problem.

Benintendi’s splits:

• LF: 7.1% BB rate | 16.5% K rate | .183 ISO | 82 wRC+
• DH: 11.0% BB rate | 16.2% K rate | .246 ISO | 140 wRC+

No idea if there an underlying reason for the difference in results or if it’s just luck, but the reality is DHing him more eliminates his negative defensive value.

The Sox have so many second  basemen that moving Sosa to left, even if feasible, barely makes a dent. Mead is out there for Charlotte tonight. He will be out of options next year. He displaced Jacob Gonzalez, who is more suited to second than short. The breakout player at AA is Antonacci, who is playing second. That’sin addition to Meidroth and Sosa. I hope they pick the right guys to keep.
