How many games have they lost by not having a closer. I would say at least 10. Should be closer to 60 wins than 50. Will managed this one poorly. Stop fucking trusting leasure

17/37

lowest save conversion rate

lowest amount of saves by far in the majors

Tough one. Should have given Wilson a clean 9th maybe, probably an adrenaline crash for Taylor after the K on Witt to end the 8th and then sitting.

Also hard to add on against a decent pen with MAT suddenly inserted in the middle of the lineup.

Taylor has been terrible.  He throws hard, but that's it.  No angle, no command.  I never quite understood why the regime that moved Crochet out of the pen would move Taylor into the pen; but I guess this is why.  At this point, send him down.

It's amazing how all 3 of what were though were TOR pitching prospects have really turned to squat (I guess Schultz is getting it back together).

I still haven't found anything that Mead does well.  Among his talents is that he strikes out  a lot..a power hitter's K rate...but he has no power at all.

Have the Sox rallied at all this year in the 9th?

I seem to recall a Michael Taylor double or homer or something to tie it once, but I’m pretty sure we lost in extras anyway.

Yeah Mead doesn’t look like much at all

Jeff Keppinger Hahn Special

first move as GM

Brewers went from leading 8-3 to 8-8 late at home after blowing two leads over the weekend.

Cubs' fortunes might be turning again...

Rockies about to be 38-94.

Sox record for futility seems safe.

perez with 85 pitches... let him keep going.

The bullpen is a bunch of nobodies that you can't really trust.

Poor job by the manager and the bullpen.

One thing if it happens once in a blue moon.

But this trash has been happening more and more.

Losses like this...constantly, really are discouraging to young teams.

We will see how flat they come out tmrw in front of an empty stadium.

Looking like Cubs might go from 9 GB to 4 1/2 in the span of ten days.

Vaughn falling back to earth too.

bullpens are overrated

sure they can be  good when it doesn't matter like the Sox

the worst teams in baseball have bad pens

you are what your record is

I had hope, but he looks like a singles hitter playing corner infield.  No hint of power there unfortunately.

Problem is the main guy sucking is supposed to be the closer of the future

Throw him back in a minor league rotation next season.  He’ll be halfway through his career by the time the Sox need a lockdown closer.

Who cares?

With this putrid bullpen no Sox late lead is ever safe.

15th time this year the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost the game.

5th time this year out of those 15 games the lead was lost in the 9th inning.

Taylor is not a relief guy, let the kid start games.

5 times this year the Sox trailed going into the 7th inning or later and won the game.

They never have taken the lead in the 9th inning in any of those five games.

Twice in the 7th inning, three times in the 8th inning.

Brewers walk it off.  Flubs hitting regression is still a force.

Players will have bags over THEIR heads.

Somebody needs to count the actual number of fans at the game tomorrow. What a revolting game tonight. Massey beats on the Sox again after being in the minors for a hella long time. Royals need to send thank you cards to all White Sox once they clinch a playoff spot again thanks to our boys.

Has a good glove, good utility man at best.

They have been pretty resilient after coming off tough losses, last Friday is a good example.

Back to back years with the worst bullpen (at least back end) in baseball. The cheapest and easiest part of a team to find success, and Getz has been abysmal.
