Bryse Wilson DFA, Bryan Hudson to IL, Gilbert and Cannon recalled per Fegan

Featured Replies

That did not take long. Lower back strain,

I don't even recall anyone telling me where Bryan Hudson came from. Didnt the Sox just make a waiver claim on a Cubs 25 yr. infielder ? Could this be part of why Civale went to the Cubs ?

Claimed from Milwaukee a handful of weeks ago.

Civale and Cowles are two separate transactions.

I know but sometimes one (me) might think one had something to do with the other seeing as they got a player from us then we got one from them not too far apart. What was it maybe a week or 10 days apart ? Like ok you claimed our guy so we'll wait to see who you put on waivers and claim him. Like a trade without it being a trade. I know other teams could've claimed either guy so its not likely. But sneaky stuff goes on like phantom IL stints.

I think that would be a hard one. If the Cubs had anyone the Sox wanted, why not just wait til the offseason and do a cash trade?

Wilson really had a poor year.
I count 12-15 players on the 40-man who really wouldn't be missed.
I hope they bring up Palette. I think they're going to have to put him on the 40-man anyway in December.

Absolutely correct. Flotsam and jetsam. Four A guys at best.

Best GM at signing players that easily clear waivers.

When no one wants him Getz will gladly take him back.

That's the White Sox way. 😄

Is Clevinger officially gone yet?

Except for that coaching staff possibility lol.

Maybe he just really loves Chicago...

I believe Clevinger would be a full FA at whatever point that MiLB free agency happens.  At the latest he would be a FA after the World Series.

He elected free agency yesterday I see. Gone but hopefully soon forgotten.

I fear the Sox will sign him again at a lower rate.

What was his salary this year after making opening day?

The Sox would find a way to sign a guy for less than a minor league deal.

Clevinger was paid $1.5 million for 5.2 innings in the majors and a 7.94 ERA this season.  That’s over $250,000 per inning pitched.  Not bad.

More wasted JR money on stiffs, retreads and has been's. 😆
