Kyyle23
Today I have Guardians, Padres, Boston advancing. Feels like Cubs vibe is incredibly damaged right now. Guardians came to life yesterday and Detroit really haven’t done anything offensively. And f*** the Yankees 😂
Harry Chappas
The 3 pitching matchups are very meh for elimination games. Odd thing in cub game was Rea was warming up in the 4th, Soroka the 5th and Rea came in later in game. Just odd usage from Counsel. I dislike the wild card teams getting Monday and Friday (Dodgers Thursday) off. it is more of an advantage to the WC winners to have played while other teams are sitting at home. The starting pitchers on Tuesday can pitch Sunday and the NL is off Sunday so the WC winners in NL will get 2 of next 3 days off. I understand the option of losing is there. Just add two more teams to the playoffs in that case. I do not think the bye helps as much as it does in other sports.
wegner
I have a feeling that if the Cubbies win today, they will beat the Brewers in the next series. I doubt they could get past the Phillies or Dodgers though.
almagest
Cleveland, you REALLY need to be able to play defense if you're going to rely on pitching and can't hit.

caulfield12
Cleveland luck runs out...in the end, longest suffering fans in baseball compared to Brewers Mariners Padres getting a modern era WS title. Edited October 2 by caulfield12

caulfield12
Out...traded two back end starters to KC for Fermin, but massive improvement over Elias Diaz and Maldonado.
caulfield12
Too many Kevin Hart commercials on tv these days, geez. Although the one where he mimics Shaq's voice "it's everything" is pretty funny.
fathom
This is why you don’t start the worst pitcher on your roster. He has nothing on these pitches.

fathom
You have to pull him, but Shildt has proven he’s an idiot

caulfield12
Game might be over early at this rate...have to limit the damage to just two runs here hopefully.
fathom
Good lord, was he playing him on the warning track? Padres are getting terrible jumps on every ball in play

King was the best choice based on his whole season's body of work. Randy Vasquez has also pitched some decent starts as well down the stretch. Darvish seems to have nothing left.
