Tim Elko was one of those punted picks. It's just the wrong way to look at the draft. I always put the players in order by signing bonus. Many players taken in rounds 11-20 are more highly regarded th

I rarely find him entertaining, mostly annoying. Kinda like Tom Dreeson.

I wonder what Cubs fans think of him. He's obviously a huge Cubs booster, but he's still annoying nonetheless.

Ouch. Off-road to get Dreeson.

Believe me, he had it coming

His radio personality is grating....I would hope they don't like him either. But he keeps cashing those checks.

He talks just like most of them so I assume he is mostly loved.

Yup.. Crazy comment cuz he still isn't in my (or likely anyones) future plans. He feels more like a fun story - hope its a long story.

He plays a pretty good 1B. I hope he's in their plans - he ought to be. First-round pick 3 years ago...not really in the desert.

Is there going to be a Roch Cholowsky bobble head day on 7/11?

2nd round possibility question....anyone have thoughts about Ben Blair? Is he more likely for the bullpen so 2nd round is too high?

I'll throw a name for mid rounds 5-9. LHP Ethan Norby from East Carolina. A little bit of a down year for him Velocity was up but control was a bit off at times but not awful. 21 HBP this year. 130 Ks in 90 innings.

ECU is a bit of a pitching factory with Gavin williams, trey Yesavage, Jeff hoffman, Carson whisenhunt, Zach agnos.

I saw him almost every game in person. He is a warrior with a ridiculous sweeper. About 93 mph.

Had a game against coastal carolina last year who went to the finals last year where he Kd 19 batters

I was thinking about the other thread about White Sox Culture and how this team is gelling so well and was wondering what is the reputation of Roch Cholowski.

I kinda blame my wondering on "Draft Day"....for some reason my wife really likes that movie and so I have seen it a few times. I guess what I am asking is "how many of his teammates went to his 21st birthday party'?

wrong thread

Definitely a leader, but more quiet than demonstrative. Not a hothead/emotional type. More a lead by actions/example type.

Seems like a good fit for this bunch.

He has as good of a reputation as anyone you will find

Don’t draft another Catcher

draft the best player available, Teel isn't a for sure thing, depth at C would be a nice luxury, if Teel is who we think he is, it makes Quero expendable or you can move Lackey to 3B or LF

if lackey is who you think is the best player, you should take him regardless of his position

Doyle's head to head podcast comparison looked at ten categories and goes into depth on Roch vs. Lackey in terms of leadership attributes, gave Cholowsky the edge.

Was linked earlier in one of two threads...

In terms of hitting he gave lackey the edge

Agree in general. But also, if there’s a biger need, SS or catcher, it’s catcher. The left side of the infield is absolutely loaded with elite ish prospects and above average talent. Catcher, we got Teel. And he’s been getting banged up. The other guys are JAGs

is this Getz trying to build his trade value? hmm not sure why they're trying to rush more infielders through the minors, there's nowhere for them to play

edit: I mean on the big league roster

It would seem if Bonemer is what they and we want him to be, a 2027 spring training invite, and a realistic window that opens during the season. There is production at the plate. Also hitting and strikeout questions. I haven’t seen the report of his performance in the field in this season, and that’s been a curious thing that it hasn’t been a thing that gets a lot of media attention

He has made a ton of errors.

Has to be any position on the infield BUT SS or LF/DH.
