I still think he should have to prove that any swing changes him and Fuller make this offseason actually work in AAA before he gets a major league shot. Then you have the fact just last year Pereira hit 21 dongs in 297 abs at AAA, the year following being ranked 67. Along with Murray for Steven Wilson and a mid-season dumpster dive. Not sure what kind of return you were expecting there. Not sure how Mead for a mid-season dumpster dive signing is a bad move either. That is literally turning nothing into something. I like all these moves (outside of Acuna) in isolation. But we now have a ton of guys with no options, so these type of moves create some challenges from a roster construction perspective. If Getz acquires two good pitchers now with the savings maybe the Sox can go .500 or so. Use that Robert money to sign two veteran pitchers, no more prospects, have plenty of them.
