Shades of Shingo Takatsu. Minus the 90-92 fb. Escala got those two giant bags of candy after HBP in 2023...played at both Miami's, FL and OH. I don't know how far off his norms he was in terms of velocity. I do think it's reasonable to think that his poor command in MLB might have had to do with his elbow.
