March 15Mar 15 Drew Thorpe has thrown four bullpen sessions and is looking toward a fifth one this week. Feeling good overall. — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) March 15, 2026

In his first 7 pro games of 2024, Thorpe threw 6 of 7 games with game scores of 57, 69, 63, 66, 58, 69. He then fell off the table for two horrible starts. He was subsequently put on the IL. If that guy comes back, he will be a force.

Otoh, Walker Buehler went from a Top 5 pitcher in mlb to being on the verge of his last chance to hang on.

March 17Mar 17 Smith needs to go to AAA. He did well last year at Birmingham, then did well in AFL. Move him up.
