I disagree with saving a few bucks as opposed to staying within revenues but the overall concept is the same.

How are we even still debating these things in March 2026. If you cut Sosa every team other than maybe LA would claim him. If you cut Beni nobody would claim him even if the Sox agreed to pickup 1/3 of his remaining salary.

Not properly accounting for how singularly bad on defense Benny has been relative to e.g. fWAR. Spread is 0.2 vs. 1.4 there. And for the record 2025 Lenyn was a vastly superior defender than 2025 Benintendi. There's a difference between below average and Adam Dunn

He's going to be stretched out more this year and could be a lot of fun to watch. I don't have a great feeling yet as to whether this is going to work, but it's going to be fun to watch 1B Munetaka Murakami. He has massive raw power that can take over any game but also has huge contact and chase issues." espn.com
