I'm hoping that Trent Williams could be the splash, but kinda horrified at this defense. It seems like it's possible they roll out something worse. Thought this was interesting I think the right answer is probably somewhere in the middle when it comes to the cap, but I think the logic is sound in the idea of "kicking the can down the road" really isn't that risky with how we've seen the salary cap rise over the last few years, but a team has to have a willingness to actually want to spend big when the timing is right, and not sure we've seen the Bears show that sense of urgency.
