Cy Martin vs. Cy Soriano

Yesterday was the Sox 12th win and also Mune’s 12th HR. Pretty sure the 11th win/Muneshot also happened on the same day.

But if they score 1 on Soriano, it will match the total he’s given up all season in six starts (5-0). Tiny 0.24 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 37.2 innings. 140 batters faced, and the only damage has been a Drake Baldwin solo shot.

Best chance is trying to get him out in 6 or less to go after the pen again.

Why is Colson at DH? Doesn't make any sense. Finding ways to get Acuna and Beni as many AB as possible, classic sox.

I understand your questioning Acuna, but really, you can’t see any reason why the Sox would want to get at bats for the Beni we’ve been seeing the last week or so? You don’t think we should be getting him at bats?

May as well get him a little rest at DH, even though we will be forced to watch Acuna swing his wet newspaper.

Let me get some optimism going here: I understand Soriano has been really outstanding, really outstanding; but he has to come back down to earth sooner or later. It might as well be sooner and be tonight.

Plus, we’re throwing Martin. I feel the Sox lineup is every bit as likely to score on Soriano, as the Angels are likely to score on Martin.

It’s a toss up game to me.
