Didn't realize Sox have the lowest success rate of ABS challenges in the MLB (43%).

That would be egregious and unforgivable, those words don't even rhyme.

Team is winning the division by 8 games.

Bido is one of several guys who have been cycled through that spot on the roster, which is not something they could have done with Paez.

I was going to post that, but they were in stasis, and I think Getz kind of "panicked", wanting to start out strong. I endorse.

Just missed it

Can't find it but saw a stat Quero was worst on challenges by far...

You would also have to consider who they didn’t protect for Paez. Maybe he sticks if he was retained (like he did with the Guardians), and you never need Bido.

Getz nailed the Rule 5 last year. This year, not so much.

Dang - that was hit hard, just to wrong spot.

Dang, would have been cool for him to hit 2 in a game on the same night as Okamoto

Colson hurt or just giving Acuna an AB?

Just an AB, Colson was chilling in the dugout

Which is crazy because didn’t Quero start 4-4?

Jordan Hicks

7 K's, 12 BB's

Just when I thought Hicks was going to have a clean inning. Sandlin better be good.

Why can’t you pitch like that against everyone? 3 unhittable pitches.

This is the most overblown thing. If people watched most of the games, he burns a lot of them late in games when he’s just using them to use them. His challenges in situations that matter are fine.

Like Gordon just said, “you can’t take them with you”.

Romo is just as terrible at challenges as Quero

Yeah, "can't take them with you" is clearly a team thing as Romo just did the same.

Just keep walking and hitting homers. I’ll forgive him for bad challenges. Getz may have stolen a 24-year old starting catcher for nothing. He has the pedigree and pretty good MiLB numbers. At the very least, he appears to be a solid backup catcher.

Pallette had 4 years to establish himself. f*** him. I agree that Getz got a little cocky with the Rule 5, and maybe a couple other roster spots. I think he's recovering okay, though.

Win 15 on 5/1, nice! Came on 5/20 last year.

Date to beat for #16 is 5/23 and we're getting to the point where it's almost silly to keep tracking this.

Their longest win streak (4) is now longer than their longest loss streak (3).

W4 is the longest active win streak in the AL, T-2 in MLB.

7-3 in last 10 is best in the division, T-2 in MLB.

Sox are 0.5 GB of DET for 2nd, 1 back of the division/WC (though CLE look likely to win tonight).

Still only May, but boy is it nice to be closer to a playoff spot than MIN/KC in 4th/5th instead of way out of the race by now.

Schultz' 4th ever start in the bigs, and he goes 6 shutty against a top 5 team. Special guy, love his composure to bounce back from a shaky first.

M&M duo continues striking fear into the hearts of opposing pitchers. This is not gambling advice, but waiting for one to homer and then live betting on the other might be a viable strategy...

I initially thought I'd be happy with stealing 1 in Petco, but starting the series like this has me feeling a little greedy...
