Wednesday at 01:16 PM2 days Big belief in the offense, and excited to see how much better it can get with Teel back in seat!Still no real belief in the pitching staff, as they only have 2 starting pitchers that could be relied upon. Count me as a believer, but weary of the staff and a believer that the lack of pitching would really hamper their ability to do anything beyond the regular season. The AL is so weak this year the Sox should do everything they can to give it a ride!

In retrospect, we now know there were so many missteps. Through bad drafts, neglecting development, bad trades, rushing their prospects, putting first basemen in the outfield, cheaping out in free agency, it took 4 years and they still made the post season 2 years in a row at the end of that. I never understood the insistence that we were 6-10 years away from being competitive. This team looks like they're going to have a bottleneck with offensive prospects, like, as soon as Pereira comes off the IL. Last year's insane number of TJS's thinned out their pitching depth. I can't imagine what this organization will look like once International starts cooking.

Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees. I ripped you a new asshole on predicting when Robert would not be moved. Yet you'll post lies. I predicted Braden Montgomery would be up in June long before Ron's thread. I challenged Ray Ray about the success "right away" for Braden. I thought it was the right time to call up Montgomery while you called him a bust. Have you no shame printing your lies ? You should actually be ashamed of your stances on so many things. You are one of the most wrong people here, yet you denigrate me? And you have the nerve to call yourself a White Sox fan during a rebuild no less when the actual purpose is to lose. Sucks they had to rebuild again so soon so it didn't get the unbridled support of the 1st rebuild. I thought the purpose of tanking is actually losing to be in a better position to draft and other advantages. The 1st rebuild never got the 1-1 pick in a time when it was easier to get the 1-1. The 1st rebuild could never draft and develop it's own draft picks. You're about the poorest example of a White Sox "fan" I have ever encountered. You lacked vision except for tunnel vision, focusing on every thing that was going wrong instead of what was going right.I predicted Braden would hit a HR in the walkoff game. Technically I said Braden and Gonzalez so count that one as wrong if you want to.It's actually fun reading this thread just to see you and others desperately clinging to the losing seasons as a last grasp attempt to justify your idiocy.

But Getz has got the team from point A to point B by surrounding himself with good people and building a White Sox way of doing things that is paying pretty fast dividends.
Thursday at 01:37 PM1 day I believe. The boys have been playing great baseball and the division and AL overall are meh. We can do this even if the pitching regresses a bit. Edited Thursday at 01:39 PM1 day by Bob Sacamano

Anyways, @CaliSoxFanViaSWside said that @Look at Ray Ray Run was “trying to squash dreams”. If your dreams are that the White Sox turn into a .500 team or better, you really need to reevaluate the importance of things. My hopes and dreams are that my kids do well in college, have nice careers, and are successful in life. My “dreams” won’t be “squashed” if the Sox don’t win another WS. It would be nice if they did, but it’s not all that important in the grand scheme of things to me. Besides, Jerry and Sox players don’t give two shits about me so why would I worry all that much about them?Sports is a hobby. A form of entertainment. It’s not that do or die whether you are a “Jedi” or a “Panican”. No one on their deathbed is really thinking about how sad it is that the Sox haven’t won another WS since 2005.What an odd way to defend yourself. This is a White Sox forum . We are White Sox fans so yes we care very much about the Sox . No one is comparing life goals to hopes for a good White Sox future except you, a very odd little man.

Thursday at 02:16 PM1 day I think this fits here. You know you believe when you wish they had an afternoon game today because you’re off work and it would be fun to watch a game at home, by yourself (and with Soxtalk, of course).

Thursday at 02:44 PM1 day Besides WestEddy originally had them at 76 wins...not well over .500.Then later revised upwards to 77-78, but not sure what exact date that happened, actually.I remember the majority had picked 70-72 wins...James Fegan was at 79 all along.

Pouncing on any talk of a rebuild had nothing to do with free agency spending. Speculation drifted out past 2030 because Getz was nowhere near as smart as the keyboard koaches who could spell-check "incompetence" and "accountability". The point you seem to be trying to dunk on was that Hahn/KW made many mistakes in the last rebuild. They drafted 1-dimensional projects with top picks. They neglected investment in overall development at all levels. They traded all their stars, and most of the trades were garbage. You remind us regularly that JR didn't spend in free agency for that rebuild, either. Yet, they made back-2-back playoff appearances in 4 years with the bare minimum of competence. This time, they started in a deeper hole, and this team got relevant faster. Chris Getz created a very good team for you to jump on the bandwagon. Don't worry, there's room for all of you glum chums to declare that you were right all along and were telling everyone about Dave Wilder before that was a thing. LOL.

Going on ticketmaster it looks like most of the Dodgers series will have big crowds. As of now it looks like small crowds against the Braves. Alot of fans are still not sold on this team.Well a lot of fans have a right to be mad at JR so hopefully he can loosen up the purse strings a little bit. But that depends a lot on attendance & CHSN subscriptions and advertising. It always has with JR so if Sox fans want the team to spend more money, they have to spend more money. Just have to be patient for when Ishbia takes over.
