At what point do we start to believe?

I believe the team can get into the playoffs this year. I wasn't surprised they won 4 out of 5 games from the Braves and Dodgers. I know I'm in the minority but i don't think the Braves and Dodgers have great teams. Very good teams, yes. Great teams, no. I think the White Sox have a tougher series against the Yankees than what they had against the Braves and Dodgers.

I really don’t want to partake in this nonsense, but the ridiculing of Getz for the two shitty years when he first took over was always stupid given how broken our infrastructure was. People kept tel

Dropped $100 on them to win the division a few weeks ago when it was +2000. Think I mostly did it because I was offended that they had Minnesota +900 but I'm starting to believe it's possible

Your 2026 Chicago White Sox.....We no longer suck!!! And for now, that is enough to stay in the Central race way deeper into the season than I thought. They have been way more watchable since Colson

Barrels are a pretty noisy stat (in fact, they're so noisy that he's actually squared up fewer balls this year by a good bit than last year, but has more barrels), and I wouldn't worry much about launch angle for a guy with a 67 MPH bat speed.. plus a 7.2 vs 6.7 (last year) LA is hardly a measurable change. For slow bat speeds (bottom 10%), the ideal launch angle sits between 12-15 degrees. If you look at successful profiles in that player type (Steven Kwan and Luis Arraez types) you'll see a different profile all together.

I know he's your guy, and I would defend my guy the same way so completely get it. I just find it nearly impossible to project out a better performance for the guy than he's shown this year. He seems maxed out.

His barrel rate is up because his launch angle sweet-spot rate is much better YoY, going from the legit 1st percentile (i.e. very worse in baseball) to the 38th percentile. And while down YoY, he’s still 82nd percentile in squared-up rate. His lack of bat speed will always limit his power numbers, but he’s at least a +.100 ISO guy now and I fully believe that sticks. I don’t think it will materially change though as he’s physically I agree he’s closed to maxed out.

I do think there is room for improvement in terms of contact & plate discipline though as he continues to settle into this new approach. I truly believe he has two elite offensive traits in bat-to-ball skills and plate discipline and then will continue to improve with time and offset any batted ball luck we are seeing now.

Yeah. Thought we'd go 3-3 in these two series.

I believe as far as the regular season goes. The key for them in the postseason is getting some sort of home field advantage, even if it's only two games. When rocking, Comiskey is one of the best atmospheres in all of baseball. It's a truly frightening place for opposition players to go, and they have said as much. The blackout game is as close as I've seen to seeing a premier league atmosphere transposed in the United States. I think on an October night, it's reminiscent of Goodison Park.

Chopping off part of the upper deck seats and roofing it really added to that effect...when it's packed, especially the upper deck.

Teel hit a HR in his first rehab at bat with Charlotte. If we can stay healthy, we easily make the playoffs.

Antonnaci, Vargas, Murakami, Montogomery C/B, Meidroth and Teel are 7 of the 9 locked in starters now.

With Peters and Grichuk contributing well and Benintendi coming up clutch sometimes, we look solid offensively.

The obvious issue is pitching. Without Schultz and Smith getting anywhere close to their ceiling, we would need to trade for starting pitching or the postseason is a stretch too far this season.
