June 18Jun 18 The only Sox to hit more HR in ANY 140 game span are Thome (42 from 4/2/2006-9/25/2006) and Quentin (41 from 4/3/2008-4/17/2009)
June 18Jun 18 Mune was on pace to hit 40 in ~120 games, so he could theoretically challenge for this record if he returns in good form
June 18Jun 18 If Colson played for the Yankees, he'd probably hit 100 homeruns in a season. He seemed to barely hit those balls last night that ended up being homeruns. That short porch is ridiculous.
June 18Jun 18 First team in the majors to have 2 20+ HR hitters, and one of them hasn't played in a couple weeks.Colson is also the first shortstop to the 20 HR mark, the next closest is at 15 (Neto, Henderson)

Colson isn't going anywhere soon and down the road Ishbia will have a say in the matter.

It looks like he won't be a free agent until 2032. So yeah, on the bright side we'll likely be in the Ishbia era by then. If everything works out, he could very well be around to hit HRs for the Sox into the Chicago River at Shore Capital Field. 😜🤪🙃

2 hours ago2 hr I remember last year when people wrote off vargas and trashed him constantly. I kept saying that he had huge improvement last year and if he takes that next step next year you have a solid player. I certainly didn't expect this.Same thing with colson. People said he was a bust and broken at the age of 22.I think we need to remember this when all the crazies say quero is done and he sucks. He is 23 years old. I’ve seen multiple posts of Jacob Gonzalez needing more “seasoning” in AAA because of his recent struggles, when his next step of development needs to be at the major league level. Braden had a bad week and there was similar commentary. People are now writing off Meidroth as a utility man because of an admittedly very bad June. One poster claims Quero has lost all trade value because of a bad 2026 season. Some of these guys will flop or underperform, but short term failure is not a death sentence like many here think.
