Win 2 of 3 this weekend and I’m a believer

We also saw what happened the last time they did this in Anaheim. It didn't work and they lost a series to a bad Angels team after dominating them in game 1. We need to keep the momentum going into the Cubs series.

Edgar Quero wants to know why his hours got cut

Dominguez is not a Closer, never has been, never will be. What to do about that? Wait for more of these almost blown saves?

Don't overreact. I've been here all night.

His stuff is honestly underwhelming. I thought he threw harder. But he consistently sits 96-97 and that's just not blowing anyone away anymore. Pair that up with some questionable control and he's just a low end closer and middle tier setup man. On a good team, he'd be pitching the 7th inning.

Dominguez would probably pitch the 7th on those 2021 or 2022 Sox teams. And the 2022 one wasn't even good.

Especially after being quite possibly the worst team in MLB history just 2 years ago.

It was a s%*# defensive play by Antonacci, happy to settle that debate.

Ray, I'm guessing that Sam would tell us he should've had that one. My broader concern, from the perspective of a guy (me) who doesn't have a huge depth of knowledge about the finer points of baseball, is that I see so many situations in these games where a medium-range fly goes out there, and we see two or three guys converging on it, all going a hundred miles an hour, and that has to create some degree of hesitation (not wanting to be involved in a nasty collision) for the guy who may be in a position to grab it via the dive (or slide). I guess that situation has been plaguing fielders since the game was invented, and I know it's an imperfect science, but it seems like there should be a better way to deal with that scenario, and thus avoid flubs, or, worse yet, the good old, "I got it! I got it! You take it!"

When the ‘24 season ended I tried to look at the ‘03-‘06 Tigers as hope for the future, but figured I was kidding myself. But suddenly the thought of being a playoff team next year hardly seems ridiculous.
