Competitive game until Hicks blew it. Guy is one of the worst relievers I’ve ever seen on the Sox and that’s saying something. Sandlin better be good.

Sandlin hasn't demonstrated he can be a legit starter...can barely get through 2-3 innings.

Sox have lost 13 of last 15 to the Cubs at home or its 13/15 overall between the two teams?

Weak boner… just gotta come back stronger tomorrow and Sunday.

My own observation was that there were many more Cub fans than Sox fans out there. Maybe move the Sox further North to a much more inconvenient location. Then after attendance continues to tank, move the franchise out of this one horse town. Nashville? Sox fans would have no room to complain if that happens because, as a whole, they have not supported this team.

As one who was at the game, it definitely felt like Wrigley south. Waaaaay too many cubs fans. What’s worse is they were all talking s%*# and God I wanted them to eat their words so bad. Also hicks was terrible no idea why Will left him in so long. Should’ve taken him out 2 or 3 batters earlier, it was obvious he had no control.

I think it's time to let Luisangel get a few appearances over the offensively talentless Peters. I know you will all reject my message but I will still say it!

Acuna had plenty of chances, what is he going to do that Peters can't?

What did you expect after three straight 100+ loss seasons?

A number of those Sox fans probably sold their tickets in April at a profit when they didn’t look competitive.

If you went to Dodgers at Angels, or Yankees at Mets, pretty much the same phenomenon would occur. Brewers at the Twins, Cardinals at Royals, Phillies @ Pitt, Giants at A’s, etc.

Had really pushed the bullpen against KC.

Pretty much no choice but to use Richards Hicks and Schweitzer.

Hudson collapsed at the end of his outing, too.

Just one game go get em tmr.

It’s hilarious to me you look at that and think, “we better never change what we’re doing! I mean, look how poorly it’s working!”

While that’s true….

Don’t try and make me feel better. I would like to be miserable right now, thank you very much

We were due for a stinker, too bad it had to be against the Cubs, go get em tonight.

That really sucked. Just don't implode. Sox scored 5. The pitching was the problem. I felt they looked a little intimidated with the sellout and the media, etc. If they want to keep winning, they will have to perform under the bright lights. A very young team. They need some more experience under all conditions. Lets take the next two. GO SOX!

Once Ishbia becomes owner and along with a newer and better stadium, Sox fans will return. There was a podcast on the internet the other day about how the White Sox franchise is a sleeping giant. I’m guessing that right now the Cubs probably own at least 60% of the Chicago baseball fan base, when Reinsdorf bought the Sox it was about 50-50 but the man has done his best to alienate Sox fans so there will some work to do by Ishbia, if Ishbia can get the Sox to 45% of the Chicago baseball fan base, that will be a very good accomplishment.

It seemingly has swung at least to 1/3 vs. 2/3…but the reality is that’s probably more of a reflection of the Midwest regional bias due to Harry Carey/WGN. In particular, a touristic fanbase represented by Des Moines grannies’ (hats cluttered with pins/fanny packs) bus trips, reveries over historic Wrigley and shopping tours of Northshore Chicago.

But 60/40 Cubs in Chicago (considering the last three Sox seasons) for right now feels pretty fair. Still probably 85/15 merchandise/jerseys spread in favor of the Cubs, notwithstanding the arrivals of Murakami and Colson to a lesser extent…let’s say at a Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Quad Cities.

It all depends on the quality/excitement level and location of the new stadium, and, ultimately, the competitiveness of the team itself.

My initial thoughts were along your 2/3 to 1/3 estimates but we have lived in Florida now for almost 34 years and couldn’t accept things being so lopsided, when we left Florida in 1993 the Sox were doing pretty good but along came the 1994-95 strike with JR getting most of the blame especially from Sox fans. His popularity has been on a downhill slope ever since those days and deservedly so.

My observation is that the guy who has led the team for 45 years has destroyed this fan base if we are outnumbered by Cub fans at home. No real surprise there.

I have done the same thing for 45 years and I am all out of ideas!

Clunkers happen! It's a brand new day! Go Sox!

I definitely noticed how LOUD the Cubs fans were while watching the game with my Dolby Surround Sound 5.1 speaker setup.

But this is all on Jerry, not the fans. It’s Jerry’s job to hire the right people to bring the fans to the games. He has massively failed over the years.

There have been more Cubs fans than Sox fans at these games for a couple years now, and yes its embarrassing. I went to one game last year and decided not to go this year because its not fun to sit at Sox park surrounded by obnoxious Cubs fans taking over your home turf. Im sure many other sox fans feel the same and would rather not go at all.
