I like it. Now do Benintendi and Grichuk

Swapping Nashida, Hayes, Gonzo, and Pereira for Beni, Acuna, Kelenic, and Grichuk would be a breath of fresh air for the team.

Where is Gonzalez going to play?

The fact that he may be replacing Acuna is enough to love.

  • They say this guy may be the Japanese Nick Madrigal.

  • Lol. Correct. You are not familiar with Rikuu's game at all I see.

In this scenario I think the bigger question would be for Nashida.

Gonzo is DH against RH and 2B once or so a week to spell Meidroth. Antonacci in LF play the hot hand in CF and RF with Hill/Peters/Hays/Pereira/Nashida

C- Quero/Sosa (please come back Teel)

1B- Mune

2B- Meidroth/Gonzo

3B- Vargas

SS- Montgomery

LF- Antonacci/Nashida

CF- Peters/Hill/Nashida

RF- Pereira/Nashida/Hays

DH- Gonzo/Hays

Who is Sosa?

The Venezuelan Romo.

Credit where credit is due. Cali called this one.

The ghost of Lenyan Sosa is going to convert to C

Meant Romo

Acuna cooked his own goose by having too many non-competitive at-bats. Sergio Santos described how Nishida has had a positive impact on the team. Beyond baseball his smile is infectious and he has a great competitive attitude. Will that be enough to keep him on the roster? I don't know but I am convinced he deserves a chance. Also, he will be a great teammate and friend of Mune which will only help both of them. Credit to Cali for calling this one and to Getz for having the gorliones to make this move.

No harm no foul if that turns out to be the case but never forget, Madrigal was the Sox No. 1 pick in the Draft....a bit different scenario.

Lenyn…unless he turned into a Duke Alaskan Assassin’s brother.

Robert/Acuna a no win for either side.

The spin will be Acuna Hays Hicks Sandlin Newcomb and Dominguez with that Robert $$$ improved the team, but not by very much.

He's obviously played well in AAA. The fit is questionable because he is a lefty 2nd baseman. I wonder if the fact that he is Japanese influenced the decision at all. Bring up another player from Japan to make things easier on Mune - even though he seems to be adjusting well to the US. Gotta keep Mune happy! Also gotta get those Japanese fans on the White Sox bandwagon.

Getting rid of Robert's salary makes it an easy win for the Sox.

I just looked up his stats. He's been horrendous this year. Good riddance.

More like an easy win for Jerry, not necessarily the Sox.

How do you know that shedding Robert's salary wasn't a requirement when getting Mune?

Don’t forget about the great Truman Pauley.

Mr. 3000-san

Sox were not looking to have Rikuu fill a spot in the starting line-up.

The move was made to replace a bench player that has been giving off the opposite vibe.

Good riddance Acuna or as the Schriff might say "get out!"

Kelenic can’t hit or field. That’s a bad combo.

I wonder if that lousy defensive inning of his on Saturday sealed his fate?

Rikuu sounds like a guy fans will love.

Missing the cutoff man is an inexcusable error for a bubble player. Good riddance.

Oh man! He so much fun to watch. Such an easy guy to root for. I keep expecting him to hit a wall and he just hasn’t. Hopefully that continues. If his game can even somewhat translate, fans are gonna love this guy.

Typo

Non-Kingdom Hearts reaction: Anytime the Sox get close to returning to sub-.500, a sacrifice must be made.
