May 24May 24 At least part of this is providing Mune a Japanese fluent teammate...bye bye Acuna.Kelenic also out? Edited May 24May 24 by caulfield12

Gonzalez is still only 23 and can continue to prove himself in the minors. Edited May 24May 24 by WhiteSox2023

May 24May 24 I would have to guess he replaces Acuna, although the team becomes very left-handed in that case. And I don't think he's capable of playing SS and last time I watched him play outfield, his arm was playing badly enough that they were tagging from first on him. That said, I'm a big Rikuu fan so I'm very happy to see him get to taste the big leagues.

May 24May 24 Rikuu hasn't had anything left to prove in the minors since probably last year, happy they're giving him a chance, plus he's LHH and understands the strikezone, could be the poor mans Luis Arraez
May 25May 25 I like it. Now do Benintendi and Grichuk Swapping Nashida, Hayes, Gonzo, and Pereira for Beni, Acuna, Kelenic, and Grichuk would be a breath of fresh air for the team.
May 25May 25 Rikuu's K rate jumped from 9% in AA to 17% in AAA. So I will be a little fearful that it will jump further and really erode his ability to contribute. Somewhat interesting that he had the 17% K rate in AAA (which isn't bad for a normal hitter, to be clear) in spite of superb chase rates (18%) and zone contact rates (91%). His .310 xwOBA is only average for AAA but he has such an extreme style of play I'm not sure whether you can apply Statcast expected statistics to him.
May 25May 25 More bunts sacrifices execution advancing runners manufacturing runs that don’t come from homers…unselfish anti hero ball.He would have fit better with those Piranhas Twins teams.
