This is Jerry Reinsdorf's team. Getz and Venable were hired by Jerry. New tools and personnel for player development, Scouting, Drafting and the Spring Training facilities, are all under the control and discretion of Jerry Reinsdorf. If you really hate Jerry Reinsdorf there is nothing that prevents you from stepping away and not backing this team and this franchise. You can't have things both ways.

attendance is getting ruined as well

Surely, the White Sox will be adding Tarik Skubal for the second half with this recent injection of incomparable attendance revenue.

Braves and Dodgers series will average 31-32,000 across six games.

Yeah I think the real untold story here is how this owner at the same age as 46/47 has completely turned over a new leaf and totally revitalized and transformed the organization with his youthful energy and can do spirit. It's practically infectious.

Cali has a point. Some people just glory in being online bullies. At least Balta never acted that way. I guess insulting Tray has gotten boring for everyone, so recycling through your tried and true targets.

So you win the internet today, congrats.

Whatever!

Heard the same exact crap for twenty years, what's another twenty?

Dude all you ever do is subtweet others. Save your hurt feelings, you absolutely revel in bouncing from subject to subject and try to tamper excitement. 20 more years of Caulfield simultaneously shitting on everything and crying victim, sign me up.

If Mune wasn't injured this team would probably be able to compete with the best teams. Now it will be a tough 6-8 weeks which, if things don't go well, could derail what has been a pretty good season.

Unlike some others, I hold no personal grudge against Jerry Reinsdorf and frankly, I find it to be extremely counter-productive. Why does the hatred for Jerry Reinsdorf even come up during what has been a very entertaining and successful season?

Mune as good as he is is just one guy and a 1B at that. We'd be way more fucked losing Colson or Davis. If we can get like 230/290/400 out of Gonzo for a month with solid defense we'll be fine.

It's a shame the ignore feature doesn't work on quoted posts.

Now people are saying that fans who hate Jerry Reinsdorf should step away and not back this team or franchise. Good Lord......yeah, that'd be a wonderful way to grow this fanbase - apply a Jerry Reinsdorf loyalty test to fans. Absurd.

Gatekeepers with nothing better to do.

I was sitting behind the dugout for that Arizona game with the back to back to back dingers. Colson went 2-5 double, homer, 2 K. He looked absolutely pissed after striking out for the second time in the 8th when they were up by 6. Still seemed a little bothered when he took the field. It was awesome to see him care about striking out with two hits on the day and his team up by 6. I can't imagine any player from the last rebuild having that reaction. Said player would have walked back to the dugout, texted his current instagram ho and never thought about that strikeout again. Also, that was the game with the Antonacci in the park home run and needless to say the dugout went fuckin bonkers after that. Then I teared up a little and my husband thought I was bonkers haha

Lol I’m sorry that the ramblings have crossed the quote post rubicon

It's actually okay to love the team, appreciate the job Getz and Venable have done, AND think JR is a bad owner. This team, that still has a very low payroll, is playing very well because of the players and coaches. JR had to be convinced to take a no-brainer gamble on Murakami, and look what happened. He has even more money to roll around in while scheming ways to not spend it.

Team - Awesome
Venable and coaches - Doing a great job
Getz - Getting better, learning on the job...still under-qualified
JR - Still a shitty owner

The Sox then followed that up by a 2-8 run. They're young guys, so there aren't a lot of veteran egos who are ready to throw hands over hot tub time. You can see the camaraderie right on the field, unlike 2016 with Jose Abreu stiff-arming an over-exuberant Brett Lawrie smooshing for a hug.

Yes, the 2026 edition is group of talented young guys.

Brett Lawrie.... I wonder what Yolmer's up to these days?

One of the biggest benefits of having a bunch of guys come up together around the same age is that they grinded out minor league bus trips and life, building a lot of bonds. They also tend to have similar interest and are at similar points in life - single, partying, vibing. Been a lot of fun to watch the Antonacci effect in full force!

I realized the other day that I've seen like half the team play for the Dash, which is pretty neat.

False. You can't think a thing, and then also another thing. It's science

People are fans of the Chicago White Sox, not the Chicago Reinsdorfs.
