GT 6/16 Sox @ Yankees 6:05 (CDT)

Tried to save the pen but Davis was really cooked after last inning. Chris Murphy is here to be cooked so just let him do whatever he's gonna do.

FWIW, I don't have any interpretations of the home/road splits. Just noise for the most part IMO. Most players are marginally better at home. Yankees were clearly stealing signs with runner on 2B so that might play into things a little bit here.

Once again, glad this is everyone's first White Sox game on the year. They've never battled back this year to make it interesting.

There is a huge gap between his home and away stats

Of course that asshole has turned into the best player on the planet of late

So many doubters calling it the worst extension of all time. 🤣

The inning that won’t end! What a f&$&&ing nightmare!

Can we keep the Cubs circle jerk out of this thread…thanks

Murphy for Hernandez was as bad as the Booser deal

4th inning position player pitcher?

Wait, Murphy isn’t an outfielder?

Bannister hasn’t been too hot with his trades for LH relievers.

Yeah I just doubt it means anything besides the small sample sizes for each and possibly some unrelated things like better road opponents and things like that.

What an ugly game.

Make it stop…we’re already dead

Sign stealers

Such a different team on the road.

He hasn’t been too hot with any of his pitching trades, if we’re being honest

Hopefully going tomorrow. I didn't want to go solo. Weather is absolutely stunning today, btw.

You made a very wise decision…

Alright boys just need 10 bloops and a blast

Wow. We went back in time to 2024.

These types of games are to be expected with a young team on the road for the first time in New York.

Just have to flush it hard and come back tomorrow strong.

Of all of Martin's outings, this was one of them.

That’s one fugly box score.

Brewers up 1-0 on Guardians

Crazy thing is we were winning after 11 batters

I live in New York State! This is my nightmare.

  1. Chicago White Sox

Chicago's lone representative last season was right-hander Shane Smith, a Rule 5 pick who became a reliable rotation option. Smith is a great story, but his selection was reflective of the complete lack of other compelling options to choose from. How times have changed. This season's upstart White Sox roster boasts several All-Star candidates, all of whom would be first-timers: rookie sensation Munetaka Murakami, breakout bat Miguel Vargas and emergent ace Davis Martin would be worthy inclusions.

Martin all the way up to 3.31...hopefully he still holds onto All Star nod.
