Gonzo for Sonny Gray and order the world series rings

If I'm trading Gonzo, I want to aim higher than a 36-year-old that only has a 1 year, $30M option left on his deal.

season high water of mark of 6 over .500 in reach tonight. Be nice to take this series and then try and win 2 of the remaining 4 for a positive trip.

  • Drew Romo. Teach Gonzo how to catch, like all shortstops should.

as I posted in the trade thread, 5 million dollar buyout. So we'd be paying basically 20 million for about 70 innings. I'd like to improve the team, but that's a steep price for a guy we have no control over and will pay to go away next year.

Always appreciate the hustle Miggy, but it's okay to consider the game situation a bit there.

Beni turning into Vlad Guerrero senior was not on my bingo card.

Beni up to a 748 OPS. He's been a legit asset the last 6 weeks a RHP killer.

Meanwhile in Cleveland...

Well he ain't playing Tennis...if it's best for the team he'll have to just wait his turn.

That also tests a player's character to see if the are cry babies. I can't remember his name there one Sox kid in AA complaining he should be in AAA.

Too many knee jerk reactions on our part.

It's a great thing to bring a player up and be productive replacing an injured player. Other organizations don't have that.

The Orioles should just fold up shop if they plan to get worked this hard by Fedde.

His stats as a DH vs. RHP have been pretty good. I still don’t love the roster inflexibility of carrying a platoon DH, but right now that’s the smallest of problems.

I think Beni might be the roster crunch victim if Gonzo keeps it up.

Take assets from a Beni trade and use them to get a pitcher without selling super low on Carlson, Quero, Hagen, etc.

Would be interesting to explore if eating some of the remaining money could generate some interest for him. He's been a quality vet, but I agree that it would help the roster construction to free up some lefty DH ABs.

Ok baseball gods, I apologize for insulting you with this post. Forgiveness please.

Get someone warming. Fedde 3rd time through is gasoline.

Long-term Jacob should probably get the DH spot and then fill in across the infield as needed.

Wow. I don't know how one does that. I guess not seeing infielders going toward the dugout should give a clue.

I remember Wayne Nordhagen did stuff almost that bad.

Do they have a rule on runners advancing on that?

This Orioles lineup is way too good to get Fedde’d like this. I get we’re still up six runs, but one more base runner and you got to pull him.

Fedde not fooling anyone.

Now the game isn't as boring.

Fedde sucks

What are you expecting from him exactly?

Isn’t Sonny Gray known to struggle in the second half? Quick research shows his ERA goes up by .31 in the second half during his career

lol, get rekt ump, hasn't called that s%*# all night.
