Another terrible at bat . Swinging at junk. Why are the sox incapable of back to back good offensive games?

Happy "Same Lineup, Third Game in a Row" Day, for those who celebrate.

  • If a tree falls on an uninhabited island and there’s no one around, does it matter what time it fell?

Cool, man.

Does anybody else think Colson's defense has regressed a bit? I'm not saying it's bad now, but he was elite during most of the first half. Seems like he's missing plays more frequently as of late that he would have made earlier in the season.

His defensive metrics are plummeting IIRC

Meidroth strikes out too much in those spots for the type of hitter he is.

His stats are worse with RISP.

It looked like he choked up on the bat that AB to try and avoid that

That’s….NOT a good throw, Teel

Hes like -4 runs the last month

It’s beyond obvious Roch is the SS of the future

I don't think you'd avoid diving to protect your back...bending over like he did is going to feel worse. Of course, if you're kind of tight you might just not feel limber enough to get into position for dives. It's also just not something a shortstop needs to do very often since it's rare to be able to make a play after diving. I do think Sox fans might be a little too locked in on his back as an explanation for everything that ever happens.

Roch is this teams future SS. The guy has all the tools to be an All Star. I won't be surprised if he doesn't move through the minors very quickly.

As soon as Ray Ray declared him the greatest defensive SS in baseball history, cracks started getting exposed. He’s a good defensive SS no doubt, but second best in baseball always felt like a stretch.

Scored double digits last night, next game guarantee they struggle to score

Thought he could have dove to knock down Springer’s RBI single.

Meidroth on the season not much different with RISP than non-RISP. Little more batted ball luck without RISP. Strikes out significantly less with RISP. Sees righties a lot more with RISP but hits them better with RISP so it cancels out. Very small sample sizes involved.

I'm excited for Roch but honestly I don't expect to be thinking about him much. He's "safe" but there's no such thing as safe. Hopefully he'll be knocking on the door by 2028 and then we'll see how everything looks.

Sheesh, I guess that checks out with the eye test. The metrics show that he has been really good at 3B. It will be nice when Roch pushes him over there.

Hey now!

Davis is doing his job. Time to help him out offense.

Why do we keep swinging at shitty pitches? Come on dude

Great pitch by Bieber. He's not making many mistakes.

Just walked a guy and you swing at a pitchers pitch the first one of the AB

You can't swing at that first pitch after a walk.

Offense is trash today. Terrible at bat after Terrible at bat.
