I'd recommend a current 1.2 bWar catcher like Luis Torrens of the Mets. Maybe pair him with Clay Holmes in a trade if the Mets don't resign Holmes.Once August start the trades will start flowing. A few might trickle in ahead of that.

Yesterday at 10:28 AM1 day The next 16 games are huge and tough, we play the Astros for 3, Yankees for 4, Rays for 3, Red Sox for 3 and Guards for 3. If we can still be 7-8 games over after this spell I think we will make the playoffs, 2 of the keys are Mune and Colson, they need to start hitting homers again, I know Colson is streaky but he’s really in a funk right now. Whoever helped him last year when they sent him to Arizona in the middle of the season should be working with him now. The pitching except for Tuesday has been pretty good, the bullpen has really stepped it up, somehow we have to find another starter and a serviceable catcher. I’m not counting on Teel, they are saying up to 8 weeks before he’s back and with a rehab stint the season is just about over, I think they should shut the guy down and let him have the whole off-season to be 100% ready for 2027. A better course would be for everyone, especially the sports media, to back off and give him all the space he needs to physically and mentally pursue his rehab. Teel thinks he can make it back in 5-8 wks instead of 6-12. So what?

Sports media is supposed to stop doing their jobs? Us talking about him doesn’t make a difference
