This is just overkill though. They could build like a 7 man rotation for the playoffs if everyone's healthy.

What's really annoying is that this isn't even a price where only the Dodgers could afford the prospect cost. There are other contenders who could beat this package.

But they have the edge to keep him in FA, so here we are.

When has that been the case for the last several years with their pitching staff?

Again they feel they need help and target the best.

Other teams target cast off's, has-been's, retreads and injury prone guys "hoping" it works out. That's not the Dodgers fault.

You want to improve the game? Get rid of the shitty owners who don't give a damn about winning but happily take millions in revenue sharing money.
