He has a career .202/.256/.573 slash line and has struck out in 30% of his plate appearances away from Coors.

At least he's much younger than Brazoban lol?

Literally, no one will say we should have done that.

  • This “teams don’t get credit when players work hard and player development is fake” is the worst bit on a site that includes Greg. Getz if anything deserves credit for going after players that show th

Even if I don’t like the move, I can usually understand the thinking behind it. It usually at least makes some sense. I just don’t see it here. I’m confused more than anything.

Highly suggest people watch this. Look at the defense. Rockies announcer at one point described him as, “the best centerfielder in Rockies history” after he made an amazing catch.

If the brain trust ISNT able to turn him around at the dish - this is a platoon guy with outstanding defense, a laser arm, and speed that guys us a second option off the bench when pinch running may help us in close one run games.

Regarding his bat - he isn’t a Coors only power threat. If we can get him right, he can hit it out in any park.

The more I look into this move, the more I get it.

Let me speak your language here.

Poop, even if it is controlable, is still poop.

There's no way they play this guy ahead of Pereira!

Haha, I had to do a double take on that Brazoban one when I saw he had a bunch of years of control.

The sad thing is that this new poop is older (28) than the outfielders already on the roster (Peters and Pereira) that are arguably better.

I'm mostly fine with it. Adams probably a bullpen guy (and it ain't gonna get better for him in Coors), and the other guy is whatever. Buying upside with Doyle makes sense if you think you can fix his struggles and that the injuries this year caused him to hit so poorly.

Center field looks like a platoon now.

At least this team has a fine track record of rehabilitating players with groin and oblique injuries, and getting said players back up to their full potential

(Yes, different regime, but I still don’t trust those injuries)

Therein lies the problem.

Fedde on paper doesn't look all that different from Castillo, either.

Only Brazoban an upgrade on Dominguez numbers...

Feels like a lot of these guys like McGuffey or other twitter accounts with sources shill for the team/Getz during the Getz era.

Yep.

The whiniest among us will make up hypothetical bullshit to excuse an awful trade by Getz. You know, a trade that he actually made in real life and not in your fantasy land.

It's strange that people come on here and complain about complainers as if they're any better. It's OK if people don't like the trade. I don't like it. We also come to a message board to discuss it. What a concept huh.

Yep.

Look, I don't even mind that people who have opinions, it is the ones whose opinions changed based on if the player is inside, or outside, of this organization. Adams didn't go from being a potential replacement in the rotation to expendable, just because the payee of his check changed. He was always a guy coming off of TJS who probably wasn't going to be any help this season.

more then half of his career home runs have come outside of coors

Huh? He has 20 homers on the road and 29 at Coors.
