11 hours ago11 hr Here is a sketch of what I am hoping to see Fuller bring Doyle back to in some form. I mainly hope to see him more up right with his hands up.Also hope we see him start to hit the ball in the air… I’m not expecting they’ll bring changes into his offensive game for a couple of weeks and for now they’ll likely just let his weak bat ride while seeking value from his defense.

Even with his recent hot streak, Acuna has a sweet .550 OPS and did not end up being the Sox CF of the future as you had predicted. Afterall, if he was, Getz wouldn’t have acquired this new bum CF.110% correct.

Hope is seeing light in darkness and letting the light heal. Human beings understand that life and baseball reflect growing from failures.Everyone has family issues, illnesses, and worse. That's part of life, not baseball. I am not sure how to take the explanation/excuse that his wife had a miscarriage. First of all, broadcasting private family medical matters is just plain wrong, especially to that extent. He invaded his own wife's privacy. Secondly, that is not a legit excuse for his own foibles as a baseball player. Sorry for his wife's miscarriage, but life is a tough road, especially for some of us...and that is nothing but a bump in the road in the grander scheme.

People mistaken the ability to hire smart people for draft purposes with being good as the sox GM right now. This guy has gotten taken to the woodshed in almost every deal he's made, and the ones that weren't bad ended up successful because the player put in a s%*# ton of work 2 years after the deal (vargas). Every new move solidifies this for me. He doesn't know how to value MLB talent or assets. Just my opinion of course. The legend of Chris Getz now rests almost entirely on Vargas, Colson, Peters/Doyle, lucking into Mune, Luis Castillo returning to form and Cholowsky over Lackey, which I’m still not convinced was the right move (irrespective of one week of A ball at bats). On the starting pitching side, only Burke has made progress, with Davis Martin continuing to implode.
2 hours ago2 hr Trying to find any positives from the beat down in Boston. Doyle did have a put out in his first game with the Sox. That's about all I could come up with. Tonight it's pay back time.
1 hour ago1 hr How did Doyle look last night? I watched part of the 1st (turned off after the grand slam) and then had to board a flight. Saw him chasing down some balls off the green monster, but nothing else.

A child died, and now you are exploiting that too? Have a little shame. Everyone processes death differently, and you don't get to decide how people process their death of their child. Grow up.

Until you go through something like this, don't talk about it. Trust me, it is NOT a bump in the road. It's devastating and something you get through, not over.

I can't imagine how painful losing a child at any age would be. There's this sense in the IVF circles that once the child is born you can relax a little so to spreak, but then you hear stuff like this where tragedy can strike at any moment. To say someone should put that all aside to focus on playing a child's game is a pretty brutal take.
