TA wasn't my friend, but you know what you do to make your marriage work, and I just lost a little respect for him, even though in 35 years of marriage, I think I was in the same zip code of "you wanna come upstairs for a drink?" maybe once, and he dealt with that on a daily basis.

For the record, I don't think the off the field stuff affected the on the field stuff for TA, outside the the brutal murder of his best friend.

It was leg injury after leg injury, a couple of them pretty major, that sapped his explosiveness. It's honestly not unusual for guys of his skill set and build either. When the legs go, they are done

Once during marriage when someone dropped a suggestion that I turned down. I've tried to steer clear of stupid situations where it's too easy to f*** up.

club houses are kind of a collection of cliques tho, right? You had the Latinos, then the Christian white-bros. Maybe guys like Gordo or David Robinson kept above it. LaRoche was looked up to by Sale, Eaton, Zach Duke, and Samardzija. Maybe Flowers? Probably more. He was like the chaplain to them. When Frazier and Rollins were brought in, I think they were the ones telling KW the Drake show was ridiculous.

I've had a couple situations, but thankfully I'm too oblivious to catch on most of the time. Only in retrospect do I realize, or if my wife brings it up to me (also glad I'm oblivious and that she knows it when that happens).

This would be really cool. After visiting many other MLB parks one thing I've noticed the Sox have a lot of missed opportunity when it comes to telling the story of the franchise. Even if there haven't been a lot of championships there's still a lot of cool parts of our history. We should have like a southside museum or something somewhere in the ballpark. Detroit does this cool kind of walking-museum on their concourse where you can read about their team's history throughout the decades as you meander around the field.

The Sox had a little walk-in museum behind home plate for a while. I don't remember much more than they had a bunch of old uniforms in chronological order.

I hope when Ishbia or whoever builds the new ballpark that they have a dedicated area that tells the story of the franchise, and that it's done well and not half-assed.
