12 hours ago12 hr For the record, I don't think the off the field stuff affected the on the field stuff for TA, outside the the brutal murder of his best friend.It was leg injury after leg injury, a couple of them pretty major, that sapped his explosiveness. It's honestly not unusual for guys of his skill set and build either. When the legs go, they are done

Only in retrospect do I realize, or if my wife brings it up to me (also glad I'm oblivious and that she knows it when that happens).

Detroit does this cool kind of walking-museum on their concourse where you can read about their team's history throughout the decades as you meander around the field.

I don't remember much more than they had a bunch of old uniforms in chronological order.

Then they got rid of it to expand the gift shop. This was before they built that huge gift shop on the north side of 35th St by Gate 5. Now that they have so much gift shop space, I don't know why they can't provide some space for a little Sox museum somewhere. Last I heard, all that old memorabilia plus the WS trophy are on display in either the Scout Seats or Luxury Suites area. So typically Reinsdorfian of them - make that stuff only accessible to the corporate and luxury clients by putting it in a place where 95% of the fans are never going to see it. Hopefully that will change under Ishbia - whether it's at the current park or a new stadium.And to be clear, this is separate for my desire for them to establish some sort of team "hall of fame" to honor the many impactful players and personnel who don't rise to the level of having a statue or a number retired. Dick Allen, Wilbur Wood, Podsednik, Jenks, etc.
