Billy Carlson, Chicago's 2025 first-rounder, eventually may push him to third base, where he might be a plus defender. Though he's a fringy runner out of the batter's box, he can produce solid sprint speeds once he gets going and has a knack for stealing bases.”PipelineJust think that initial burst of speed/quickness/athleticism is só critical for CF. Whatever you want to call it, fast twitch-iness.

I don't think they'll add him to carry him on the 40-man on all winter and I'd be shocked if he could play a below-average CF. The bat is real though and they likely have to find a spot.

As for whether he’ll stick in CF, I am also skeptical but he’s faster than you think and he’s a real ballplayer. Like Antonacci, he’ll work hard and be fearless. I try to never underestimate this guy.
