Wednesday at 12:01 AM3 days “There were questions about Bonemer's ability to stay at shortstop in the long term, but he impressed with his soft hands and ability to execute throws from a variety of angles with solid arm strength. Billy Carlson, Chicago's 2025 first-rounder, eventually may push him to third base, where he might be a plus defender. Though he's a fringy runner out of the batter's box, he can produce solid sprint speeds once he gets going and has a knack for stealing bases.”PipelineJust think that initial burst of speed/quickness/athleticism is só critical for CF. Whatever you want to call it, fast twitch-iness.

I don't think they'll add him to carry him on the 40-man on all winter and I'd be shocked if he could play a below-average CF. The bat is real though and they likely have to find a spot.

As for whether he’ll stick in CF, I am also skeptical but he’s faster than you think and he’s a real ballplayer. Like Antonacci, he’ll work hard and be fearless. I try to never underestimate this guy.

Wednesday at 09:17 PM2 days Bonemer is too good for AA already. He's doing better than he was in A+. Lowered his strikeout rate from 29% to 24% and has a 153 wRC+. Dude is just wrecking every league he plays in. Not even 21 years old either. I'd imagine the bat is MLB ready. Just doesn't make sense to bring him up at this point in the season and with the lockout. Wait and get that extra year of control.
