Yes, I want Cleveland dead and buried. Next 2 weeks will tell us a lot as Cleveland has a chance to make up ground with a really weak schedule: Giants, Rockies, Angels, Royals.

They went like 7-3 a little over a week ago and look where that got them. The Sox play basically the same schedule in terms of “ease”

I still don’t trust our starting pitching beyond Burke.

Just me being pessimistic, but I’ve been conditioned this way through a lifetime of traumatic seasons.

Will Venable and his staff are doing a very good job of keeping this team in front of their division. Now that Boston is struggling, the White Sox could be a fun team when the playoffs start regardless of who they play.

One of these teams will be in the ALCS. Might as well be us.

This. The biggest series left this year might be the four-gamer in Houston. Securing a first round bye means the Sox only have to beat Houston/Texas/Detroit/Cleveland/Minnesota/whoever in a best of five with home field advantage. The east eats itself on the other side of the bracket. Who wouldn’t want a shot at Tampa to go to the World Series.

I believe Adam Wainwright was a rookie for that team and was the closer.
