Have you seen how Cabrera has been pitching for them?

They’re going to try him as a reliever

Some more 2 out hits would be nice. Glad they took the lead though.

Need at least 2 more innings out of Fedde to make the bullpen manageable if we want to win.

I don’t disagree with any of that. The decisions I am referencing really having nothing to do with availability and roster. Not pitching to the NL MVP in a close game with a base open doesn’t seem overly complicated, or a big ask from a manager

They were never winning that game whether they pitched to PCA or not. They had no intention of having to use Hagen until it went to extras. The pen is spent and they knew that had today and tomorrow coming. Once they failed to score in the top half, it was over.

Once we didn't score in the top half, that game was chalked. Top of the order coming up with basically nobody left in the pen would have required a miracle.

Sam just could not see that splitter.

Saw it fine his first AB. What happened!?

Would love for Fedde to give us two more innings.

Hagen striking out PCA was probably their best shot at scoreless inning. It just sucks it was that guy who got the spotlight.

Sam has a tendency to press in those spots. Really it’s the one situation he’s below average at. Small sample size though

We are getting some generous calls. Cubs can't challenge thigh

He's throwin darts right now still want a crooked number on offense tho

Fedde looking good the last 2 innings. He's gonna have to face PCA a 2nd time if he wants to make it through 5 though.

Very nice pair of innings here from Fedde

That's bogus. The Sox literally started with 2 leadoff walks then scored nothing today. It's not that rare.

I understand the thought of lefty lefty with Hagens K rate but even if you walk him you face Suzuki. Hagen threw almost 30 pitches the day before and has never been asked to pitch that much on back to back days. It was a game they needed to finish in 9 and they didn’t. It was a good baseball game.

One of the best relievers in baseball against Hagen Smith

Ok they get out of it and then have to throw another pitcher they don’t have in the 11th.

Watched a replay of Mune’s dong. It went over the 368 sign, flew the bleachers, hit the video board. Unless those bleachers are less than 40’ from front row to last row, that he was way longer than 405.

Predicting a Beni bomb here

This ump is fucking the Cubs so hard lol

Hagen can throw another inning. It may not be pretty, but he's capable given that he started all season.
