He hasn’t started since June. His last outing of 5 innings was in May. He went on the IL with a shoulder issue and then straight to the bullpen. He’s only been asked to go 2 innings 3 times since then and one was his debut.

Assad is a huge beneficiary of the Cubs' defense. His peripherals suck, but he's usually pretty good.
