I don’t disagree with any of that. The decisions I am referencing really having nothing to do with availability and roster. Not pitching to the NL MVP in a close game with a base open doesn’t seem overly complicated, or a big ask from a manager

He has postseason experience. It's not like they have a bunch of better options. The peripherals are still good even if the ERA isn't.
