Just my opinion, you have to just give Urquidy the start tomorrow. That's what he's here for. Don't waste a trustworthy reliever in the first inning of a game that you don't even know will be worth using good relievers in. Urquidy is a starter, let him pitch. If he pitches badly, then that's useful information to use as you decide who deserves to be on the roster.

100% this. Hard to evaluate Will on his bullpen usage right now when they are so over-worked. I just don’t get what the plan is for the rotation. Still shocked up Mason Adams and didn’t get a SP back. Prioritizing Doyle over another SP and at the expense of one of our better bats against LHP remains perplexing.

Didn't love our options for extras after Taylor got burned by the delay, so I almost rather it be over in 9 and still have him/Newcomb possibly available for tomorrow.

It's been a close series where the home team comes out on top both times.

Don't give up 2 HR in the first and I think our odds will be much improved.

Treated Tigers series like it was the Wild Card, the deadline being a huge bust and starting pitchers not giving you innings. 37 games left, have no idea how they fill those innings.

Brazoban didn't do his job and that really messed up the order of things today. Then the rain delay happened and Taylor couldn't pitch the 8th. It would have been dicey if Richards had to close in the 9th with a lead anyways. Or maybe they use Newcomb in that situation.

You’re playing a team that’s top what 5 in record on the road with two TBDs in your rotation so you have severely limited bullpen usage. To even be in the games with a chance to win them is fantastic. These games look completely different if you are able to use your pen as you want to.

Yeah, Venable has had a bad series, but if this teams fails to make postseason, it will be primarily due to Getz choking at the deadline.

I think it's reasonably likely that somebody out of Urquidy, Thorpe, and Cannon can do well enough in the rotation. Just might take some pain to figure out which one it is.
