We need to take 2 games. The rubber meets the road now. No excuses. We did this to ourselves and we'll have to grit our teeth and climb out of this mess somehow. They need to leave CLE up 1.5 games.

I'm pretty sure the broadcast is wrong. The magic # is now 10 because we won the season series.

Biggest win of the season. Gotta take at least 1 of these next 2.

Sweep or go home.

cleveland bats looked putrid tbh

The best assumption to make is that each at bat, inning, and game are all independent of each other. Getting beaten yesterday doesn't affect today. Winning today doesn't mean winning tomorrow. The bad at bat last time up doesn't mean anything about the last one. There are some narrow exceptions but you'll live a happier life if you look at it this way

thank god for Tristan Peters

psychologically the entire completion of the game changed there

Not watching Mune Kolson and Braden limp to the finish line

or every single Castillo appearance

right CLE would have to finish one game ahead and now two back in loss column

evens out with CLE off Thurs and Sox vs Detroit

both teams will have 9 lafter through final weekend hosting Rockies

Toronto just made a huge error letting Tigers back in front

throwing error on Varland two more outs first and second

1) One win down, hopefully 2 more wins to go. 2) Colson Montgomery has become a burden on this team. Its bad enough he"s not hitting but now his defense is hurting the team. Braden Montgomery isn't hitting either, but at least he is still good defensively. 3) I can't help but wonder if Connor Mcknight is being groomed to be the main TV announcer next year.

I’m looking up a fancy word for “don’t tell me how to feel”

Vogt warms up Herrin who is very tough on lefties. He lets Williams pitch to two Sox lefties who both reach base. Then Herrin finally comes in to face Colson who is unexpectedly competitive against lefties. Colson smokes one to the 1B, who spikes it off Peters's dome and the game breaks open. Grichuk PHs and gets a hit. Espino awaits so Venable lets Teel bat against Herrin, who was on the ropes, knowing that Vogt wouldn't dare take Herrin out due to the matchup. Teel smacks it into the corner and the game fully breaks open.

Tigers win! (Ew typing that but in this case, great news).

Totally unrelated to the Sox but he's seriously the coolest baseball player ever. I so badly wish he was on my team

See, he'd be very comfortable with the White Sox

I was kind of surprised he didn't just pull Williams mid PA to Peters.

I thought about that too. I think there's an "unwritten rules" thing going on there

Medical issue so missed the game....did Burke look likes he's back?

Connor deserves to be somewhere as top announcer. It might be here.

He looked pretty good. Velo was back and pretty much filled up the zone. It's a tough team for him with so many lefties/switch hitters but he did pretty well. A few loud outs but he was pretty much in control.

He looked really good for a couple of innings. Definitely did not look sharp in his last inning after he sat for 30 minutes.
