Make them put it in play as we did last night and don't walk very many and we'll be good.I agree. That's why I don't like Murphy starting

Probably how Pirates fans felt about the Sox last week. The Ramirez hand injury plus him just finally showing some age really hurt them. Probably the difference between where they are and being tied with us or a game or two ahead. That said, nobody is going to feel sorry for injuries as a Sox fan, our 3 WAR catcher missed basically the entire year and we all know the pitching injuries.

Ramirez is trying to be himself and his body is not letting it happen
11 hours ago11 hr Murphy is a dangerously misguided move by Will Venable but then again what else would anyone expect from this mismanaging Manager. A walk an a hit batter I’m sure of and then what?
11 hours ago11 hr If they are going to use an opener, I'd rather them just go with Newcombe again.Hopefully we can get this game to the later innings tied or with a lead and then use a rested Hudson, Hicks, and Taylor to close it down

Come on now, this entire season has been like this don’t act like he needs to follow conventional wisdom now

11 hours ago11 hr Hindsight is 20/20 but should have used Murphy with a 5 run lead last night and had Hagan open today. Hopefully Murphy can shut them down.

The issue isn’t what he has been doing all season. The issue is what he’s doing today which is negative critical mass.

10 hours ago10 hr Not gonna write the guardians off but I'll just say their body language after going down was atrocious. Not something I'd want to see if I were a fan.

Glad you finally got to the point

10 hours ago10 hr Unrelated but very irritating is cubs faced Reynolo Lopez and Martin Perez last two days.Don't mind the opener just mind Chris Murphy. Wasn't Atlanta that lit him up as an opener.

10 hours ago10 hr To continue my whining, why not save Schultz to open today? I also think Schweitzer is better than Murphy.
