Mune needed a game like tonight to get out of his head. People rip the coaching staff but it was plain as day that Mune’s issues were ALL mental. Swing issues don’t cause a hitter to watch strike 3 time after time.

You're alone in this belief. Maybe you're right and everyone else is wrong, but his swing has looked like s%*# for a while now. His swing during this massive slump was definitely different from earlier in the season when he was raking.

There is zero chance Mune hits that ball for a triple before tonight. His barrel is lingering in the zone again, at least it was tonight.

Fair and he may have made slight adjustments which aren’t obvious to my blind ass. But watching his swing decisions during the slump looked far more mental than mechanical to me. Maybe poor mechanics led to mental issues.

Either way, we need him and he looked great tonight.

Big win...up to 78 wins. If we can win 5 of our last 9 that should be enough for the division (83) as I doubt Cleveland will get to 84.

Rockies have totally given up. If we can't win 2/3 that series to get to 84 we 100% do not deserve playoffs. Just win 2 of the next 3 against Detroit and 4/6 from Royals/Rockies and we good.

Wouldn't say Detroit has given up but the lack of hustle from some of their players speaks volumes.

Cleveland would need a 7-2 run to beat that...then you still have Texas/Houston loser to account for

Oh, there's absolutely no doubt it was mental, as well. Almost impossible not to be when you are struggling like that. He had zero confidence up at the plate. Let's hope this is the start of a long hot streak for him.
