The reality is the playoffs have already started for the Sox. They have to play and manage all 9 of these just like that is the case. And if they do make the playoffs having to play with that pressure

They turn Sears into a Willis tonight. Sox win comfortably.

Newcomb has given up 12 runs in 8 innings this month

They aren't better. They also aren't worse.

They’re better. Their bullpen is phenomenal and their manager is very good.

Are we back to 8th innings being a nightmare again? What year was Kimbrel here? 8th innings were tragic that season.

Is that better than Castillo though??

I think the only times where he hasn't given up runs is when he was the opener.

Jansen is gettable but you gotta let him walk you.

In a situation you should be pitching a righty

Where was Castillo?

Kenley's actually been pretty good.

2021 pollock trade before 2022

Benintendi signing pre 2023

At least we hold the tie-breaker with Detroit.

Our bullpen has been absolutely nails this season except for the last 2 series. You cant discount that. Their rotation is better, but our overall hitting has been better. They're not a better team. They will get knocked out in the ALDS or ALCS just like we would have.

It’s too bad they couldn’t get Schreiber off waivers

I believe it but most of the games I watch him pitch he's always walking dudes and overthrowing his fastball. Just gotta hope we get that version.

Find a way to get tying run to the plate

Who’s going to play hero tonight and save our chances at winning the division? I want to puke.

Actually Brazoban fits in well here....he has been a good 1st half pitcher and bad later in the season in his career. That sounds like this bullpen. It really does start with the rotation not going deep enough in games.

Newcomb and Hudson particularly bad tonight.

playoff odds have flipped from 80-90% down to 50-60% twice this week already

I can't believe they blew an 8-2 lead. Just pathetic.

Stop slapping the ball to left in the air

I can. It was a good start but was far from over

Peters day to day

Quick 1, 2, 3 inning coming up.

Yeah none of this was shocking. Feels like Tigers get two guys on base every inning

I really would have liked to be excited about Atlanta just beating the Astros.
