Yesterday at 03:37 PM1 day There’s a very good chance IMO they just run it back next year with virtually the same position players. I could see them signing Grichuk to a 1-year deal and making Romo the back-up catcher. Would everyone be ok with this? You all know I believe one of the Montgomerys needs to go.

Yesterday at 04:03 PM1 day I know the hitting philosophy is "f*** the strikeout" and I kind of bought into it throughout the year, but the ALDS really exposed that. I would like to see 1-2 less K prone players in the lineup next year.Meidroth, Antonacci, Peters, Vargas really showed me something this year. Colson, Mune - having both of them in the lineup kills ralliesBraden - please work on your RH swingBenintendi - I can't wait until hes gone, 0-7 with 7 Ks in the ALDSTeel - I am still high on Teel and like Bart as the backup catcherColson should be good trade bait, but man its hard to give up on a player of his potential..

Yesterday at 04:24 PM1 day Remember, Sox get Baldwin and Murray back, so I imagine Acuna is gone. Then there’s the possibility that they add Bonemer and possibly Cholowsky. So, there will be changes. Do not buy they are trading Colson and giving ss to Bonemer. They are moving him to of.

He could certainly force the issue though.

I also think Bonemer will be up by May or June and filling in at multiple spots, which will provide a good hedge for both the IF & OF. I’d definitely bring Grichuk on a one year deal though. I’d also go with Bart as the backup catcher over Romo depending on cost. Quero should also be in the mix if he can undo what changes he made last offseason.

7 hours ago7 hr I want Sam leading off every game even against LHP. Sam will find a way to impact a game.Vargas is on the verge of super star and Meidroth is already super good.Braden either figures out how to hit LHP or he needs to be platooned.Teel as the main catcher will increase the production from the catcher position.Mune is going to walk, strike out and homer.Colson will most likely be the starting SS out of ST. I think he will be on a short leash if he bats like he did the last 2 months of this season.Peters is another one that you don't know what you are going to get with the bat.Doyle as the 4th outfielder is pretty good with his lock down glove. Depending on his playing time I would like to see his power numbers go up.DH --- Does Grich come back? Benny has 1 year left and had decent production for his ab total but I wonder if he can do it again.UT - Yet to be determined
7 hours ago7 hr We are so deep at infield/SS in the minors I think you trade Colston while he has any value left. Edited 7 hours ago7 hr by harkness99

4 hours ago4 hr I think its very unlikely that everything returns from this season.. they're going to sign some players, im sure there will be trades made. Something will be different.I hope they finally bite the bullet and release Benintendi. Its the final year, that's usually when they make that move. Id prefer them to do it before the season to improve the roster flexibility. There's no reason to carry him for a few months getting nothing from him just to cut ties in May/June.My guess is Bonemer is going to take an OFers spot when he eventually comes up, most likely Peters or Antonacci. Even if Roch takes a full year in the minors, someone is going to have to be moved as there aren't enough spots to go around and if you have a valuable excess chip it only makes sense to cash in on it. Someone has to be moved eventually to help improve the starting rotation.
3 hours ago3 hr I think the bulk of their moves will be on the pitching side. With Bonemer coming soon and Roch likely just over a year out, they probably stick mostly with what they have. Benintendi could be released, but I think they likely use him as a placeholder until Caleb is ready. If they lose Grichuk, then I could see them signing a similar RH bat. And as previously mentioned, I think Baldwin takes Acuna’s spot on the roster.

2 hours ago2 hr I will say if Seya is willing to take a bit of a hometown discount to play with his bestie... I'd do it. I think in a few years, he'll be a full time DH as he's dealt with some knee issues in the past. But rotation needs to be the focus.

2 hours ago2 hr Seiya Suzuki seems like a perfect fit to me. I also think a Colson trade to the Mariners for someone like Kirby makes a lot of sense for both sides. I feel like an infielder somewhere will be on the block for a starter.
1 hour ago1 hr Jim Callis is saying Bonemer could be starting for the Sox in the OF in 2027 by mid-season, interesting. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Falstaff
1 hour ago1 hr Always making the least predictable sport predictable and fixing the problems via trade frenzy. You trade to improve weakness not trying to distribute problems. There is an increase of wannabe kneejerk GMs. We forget this is a group of cost controlled kids. The Castillo trade is an example of trading a problem to inherit a problem.
