Isn’t there smoke out there that Wayne Randazzo is a favorite?

I would be all right with that. He's definitely quality at what he does, and not a dude who needs training wheels.

“Why didn’t they SHOW ME THE MUNE?!?”

Now go get someone with some actual street cred, and not someone who is primarily concerned with the company line. This is one of the premier markets in all of the world. Let's act like it.

True, but with Brooks over your shoulder I feel they going for the Yes guy. Brooks seems to be a piece of s%*# himself

Wouldn’t announcer be a downgrade from GM of the team? Don’t sell yourself short.

JR wouldn't give me a interview for the GM job. Perhaps I might get the interview for the announcing job. I'm going to contact JR about the job. I hope at least he responds to me.

Give me a guy who is a biased White Sox fan first and foremost. No song-and-dance guys or repressed comedians. I want him to suffer as we do when the game goes bad. Be manic and depressed during losing streaks and deliriously happy when we win a game we should have lost.

He should be part of a massive house cleaning when Ishbia takes over.

It wouldn't make me sad. Look when he started he did some great things to bring the Sox into the 21st century and internet era. The last few years have been filled with bizarre own goals missteps, lawsuits, and nothing that stands out in a positive way. A change might be nice.

I can never tell if you’re serious or joking when you talk about these things.

No loss he was a round peg in a square hole.

i actually had a good relationship with JR until I requested an interview for the GM job. He has never responded to me since then.

If I were Ishbia Brooks would be the first to go whenever he takes over.

We all know Ron isn't serious.

Occasionally he gets nibbles, which makes things fun

Was never a fan of his. He was a horrible hire. I just wish they held Brooks Boyer accountable. When was the last time he did anything of value for the Sox? The Grinder Rules was a lifetime ago.

campfire milkshake bought him at least another decade

I wonder what the process will be in hiring a new person. I wouldn't mind being interviewed for the job.

Now I know you have to be trolling. 😆

Says you. I think he’s the most straightforward and honest poster on this site.

How did you know him?

From applying to assistant GM jobs, likely

I wrote him many letters since he bought the team. I met him in person at Soxfest years ago. He remembered my letters.

Agreed. When he took over for Rob Gallas, it was a huge improvement and he made some great marketing moves in his first years. Now, I'd like to see Ishbia move on to someone else when he takes over. I realize three 100-loss seasons is tough for anyone to market, but I think the decline in quality was happening before the last rebuild collapsed.
