Where is Gene Honda??? Listening to the introductions they had this weird kid like music in the bg? Was that Faust? and with Shaer..it sounded corny..Honda does it more intimidating..that was bad

Yeah I just figured it out a couple days ago too when I heard his name as the PA for the Final Four.

Yeah Gene could have easily recorded it in advance. This Tom guy was trying to sound all excited but it was just pathetic.

They had 1 line recorded of gene...or he flew in to say one line at the beginning of the game, I forget what was said though

I dont like the new intros either. What happened to Thunderstruck???

 

Maybe we can put in a request to Brooks? I like the new intro as far as what's on the screen, but I, too, love them coming out to Thunderstruck.

Opening day is a little different, they announce everyone, even the bench... I wouldn't be suprised to see them go back to the thundersturck stuff for the rest of the season.

I wasn't a fan of the PA either. Its hard to say how good he really was, as we are spoiled by the golden tones of Gene Honda.

They did not have the Home Run of the Century yesterday...they have a new, better intro, with hightlights from past sox players. No ticking clock...no next, since Dave Wills is gone. No Thunderstruck...don't know what music was playing.

 

Shingo still had his gong...and his Mr. Zero counter on the scoreboards.

I really liked the video during the new intros. It was fun to point out all the old highlights that I personally remember either being at or watching at home.
