Well, we knew he would be in the lineup somewhere against Byrd. This is why we need the Choad back so badly. Timo has never played 1st base in his career but he has supposedly been fielding grounders there lately.

I don't think so. I heard that Timo has been fielding grounders at 1st base once Gload was put on the DL. I can understand wanting to get as many lefties in the lineup as possible against Byrd but Timo at 1st base? If this is true, Ozzie is enacting some Manuel-esque tinkering of massive proportions.

Timo played 1st base in Japan.

I heard Mac, Jurko and Harry saying that Timo doesn't even have a firstbaseman's glove to use. I know this sounds crazy, but they said he was using a regular fielder's glove at first base and couldn't use Konerko's, for some reason .
