If Chacon and Small are really as good as their numbers would indicate, the Yankees will make the playoffs.

Smalls line so far

4 hits, 1 run 7Ks

This is a line I would expect from Mark Prior, Randy Johnson, Johan Santana, etc.

Not Aaron Small.

Better hope for a long one.

"filthy" on the K by Garcia.  Two down.

That's how Torre described the Count's splitter last night.

Game tied at one going to the 8th now.

Hey guys, stuck at work and can't watch the game. Just wanted to thank everyone for their updates in the gamethread. Looks like another game where our 8-9-1 just can't produce? Lets find a way to win this game, and give KW an off day to come up with a solution to our offensive problems.

damn I love the Sox pitching :cheers

Great game for Garcia.  Sadly, he might just get the Jose Contreras treatment.

He's had his share of offense this year, unlike JC who has barely gotten any.

Could Vizquel get through waivers?

What do you think the Yankees are saying of their getting shutout for seven innings against Jose Contreras? Or, seven innings of one run ball against Freddy Garcia?

Remember, now, it's all relative. They have guys like A-Rod and Gary Sheffield and Hideki Matsui. In fact, Matsui might be the best hitter if he were put in our lineup.

You only think about our side, never what they're thinking about OUR pitching.

Exactly.

Garcia's only thrown 92 pitches, I bet we'll see him in the 8th.

I'm happy to see Small out of there. Our hitters just couldn't pick up his breaking ball.

Now I know why some of you questioned why we didn't bunt a guy over in the 2nd inning.

I was thinking about this last night. I don't think the Sox have a guy who would hit any higher than 6th in the Yankee line up.

In all seriousness, that might have the best pitched game by a White Sox pitcher in 2005.

Tadahito

Walk by Ozuna, he's gotta try and steal.

the freakin pitch speed in the 8th inning is sponsored. Come on!!

That a boy Pablo. Lets get something going.

I would guess yes. I don't think anyone wants the risk of having to pay him for two more years.

Tadahito

Scotty would probably leadoff in their lineup with Jeter batting 2nd.

EDIT: LOL, why the hell are we talking about this. :bang

No, you don't bunt here, if that's what you're asking. You don't bunt with your #3 hitter.

DP...

Sigh...
