Game Thread - 04/13 Garland vs. Verlander

Featured Replies

Ozzie is just awful. Everyone and their mother can tell that Garland is done. Ozzie has just given the Tigers 2 runs.

Isn't it well documented that it takes Brandon a long time to warm up? Isn't that why this is taking so long?

Maybe Garland should bring those big ass glasses back.

I just want Bmac pitching every inning and Thome only one who gets to bat.

I think the tigers just had alot of lucky hits that found the holes today.

And we have a ballgame folks.

Bad managing.

Bad managing is a hallmark of so many world champions. Give me a break.

Wtf does Ozzie wait so long to pull a guy who doesn't have it?

He had an 8 run lead and he's trying to save the pen. You'd think Jon could hold it.

:D

"ts just all of their pitchers had career years last year... not to mention they won so many games off of flukes... They also won close to 1/2 their games by 1 or 2 runs. It was rediculous how much luck they had... this year we can see whether last year was a fluke or not.... I dont expect them to do better than 5-6 games over .500 this year..."

Not really good comments as much as it's plain jealousy to me from Tiger fans :finger

So what excuses are there for Garland after todays game?

Yeah, there's no f***ing reason for keeping him in after it went to 10-6. For someone that is supposed to care more about the team than statistics, Ozzie neglected the team in an effort to get Garland the win.

Oh come on. So he can do no wrong? This is a poorly managed game. Period.

He gives them a chance to get themselves right. Get a positive ending for their next start. Ozzie thinks more than just game to game. He wasn't throwing hte meatballs. Jon was.

I want toi know what's up with Garland. He blew a 6-0 lead in KC and now is headed to another blow up.

Seriously.

Just have to have 1 more then the other guys at the end of 9.

Exactly. Why fry the pen if you don't have to? You have to expect garland to get one out in that situation.

Craig Monroe singles on a line drive to center fielder Brian Anderson. Carlos Guillen scores. Craig Monroe out at 2nd, center fielder Brian Anderson to catcher A. J. Pierzynski to second baseman Tadahito Iguchi to shortstop Alex Cintron to second baseman Tadahito Iguchi.

Were they playing hot Potato or what?

:cheers Garland is in line for the victory!!! :cheers

Often leaving pitchers who have nothing in a game just so they can get a win, means a loss for the team.

We have plenty of people ready in the pen today. And this is almost deja vu from Garland's first outing.

Bad managing is a hallmark of so many world champions. Give me a break.

Just because a manager wins a World Series doesn't mean that he can never do anything wrong. There's no way that it was a good idea to leave Garland out there that long. He was getting hammered.

Bad Pitching...

Garland ought to be able to get you through the fifth innings when your offense posts ten runs. Thats a fair assumption on Ozzie's part...

give me a break, if the pitcher isn't getting the job done, put someone else in.

did he keep Garland in too long? probably... does that mean Ozzie doesn't know what he's doing? no.
